Fashion revisits romance: Ruffles and frills are key and the sheerness of the transparent layers. All of this works with the paleness of the coloured neutrals, laces and pastels with flowers being the key prints for the season. Formal looking at it’s best when worn with worn and distressed jeans
A nod to the 50’s: Strong Glamour in contrast, graphic and confident and
pays homage to the 1950’s. Stars, stripes, spots and checks are all there singing and dancing. Black and white are the dominant colours in this trend but with touches of pinks and reds.
Global Festival: This trend encompasses an eclectic hippy feel, relaxed and casual pieces. Khaki being the “newest” comeback colour on the catwalks, fitting in nicely with the dip-dyes, tarnished metallic trims, crochet and kaftans galore.
Lacquered Society is a Mix and match of prints and is a more sophisticated look: glamorous eveningwear with ethnic touches.
Seagull House is a 20’s paired down nautical look mixed in with silicone denims, spots and bird prints are dominant. The casual side to this story is a lot softer with using washed chambrays, bleached denims and ticking stripes. Accessories are bright and printed with swimwear being a mix of stripes and metallic’s. Key colours include poppy, sweet shop brights like bubblegum pink and geranium reds as well as citrus.
New Look’s Spring/Summer collection will be available in-store from January 2008.
