Akris is a Swiss luxury clothing brand founded in 1922 by Alice Kriemler-Schoch in St. Gallen, Switzerland. Initially, the house specialized in embroidered aprons. Her son, Max Kriemler, joined the company in 1944 and transformed it into a high-end ready-to-wear brand. In 1980, Albert Kriemler, the founder's grandson, took over as artistic director and elevated Akris to the status of an international brand by combining traditional craftsmanship and innovation. The brand is known for its fine fabrics, primarily cashmere, and its sleek contemporary design.
