Astorflex

The shoe manufacturer Astorflex was founded in 1820 in the small town of Castel d'Ario, Mantua, Italy, where their facilities are still located today, still owned by the same family. The first factory produced handcrafted shoes and wooden soles. After World War I, with the onset of industrialization, the small company “Fratelli Travenzoli” started producing different types of shoes using the "ideal" method (outer stitching along the sole) - the same method they still use as a base in most of their shoes, alongside the Goodyear welt. The current CEO and owner, Fabio Travenzoli, began working in the factory in 1984 and now owns and runs the brand as the 6th generation of the family. His son, Giulio Travenzoli, also already works in the factory, making the Travenzoli family legend a story of 7 generations on the factory floor.
