Born in 1919 in the United States, BD Baggies traces its origins to a trunk of shirts belonging to the father of founder Bradford Dexter Bagg. Carefully crafted, elegant and durable, the shirts had gained over time a relaxed suppleness and worn-in charm that immediately appealed to Bradford’s friends. This effortlessly casual “baggy” style gave the brand its name. In the 1980s, David Mullen modernized the heritage, turning BD Baggies into a symbol of American preppy culture. Staying true to its spirit, the brand now offers shirts meant to be worn like T-shirts, as well as polos, sweatshirts and fine knitwear in natural fabrics such as pre-washed cotton, linen and denim.
