The clothing brand Benetton, founded in 1965 by the Benetton brothers Luciano, Giuliana, Gilberto, and Carlo in Ponzano Veneto, Italy, quickly became known for its bright and bold colors, as well as its innovative marketing. The first store opened in Belluno in 1966, followed by Paris in 1969. In the 1980s and 1990s, Benetton gained worldwide fame through its provocative and controversial advertising campaigns, largely photographed by Oliviero Toscani. The company stands out not only for its fashion products, but also for its commitment to social and environmental causes. Today, Benetton remains a major player in the fashion industry, with a presence in over 120 countries.
