Founded in 1925 by Michele Bertini near Florence, the family business first became known for crafting the iconic Tuscan straw hats. After the war, with Giovanni and Giovanna Bertini, the activity expanded to women’s handbags made of straw and natural fabrics, quickly attracting international markets. In the 1990s, the third generation, led by Caterina Bertini, brought new energy by combining innovation with traditional techniques such as crochet, weaving, and macramé. Today, the house offers handbags, hats, and accessories handmade in Italy for both summer and winter, using premium materials sourced mainly from Prato, a renowned European textile hub. Balancing heritage, creativity, and modernity, Caterina Bertini continues a family story that has become a true reference for Made in Italy.
