The inspiration and founding of CHAN LUU trace back to the passion of its eponymous founder, Chan Luu, for art, culture, and design. Originally from Vietnam, Chan Luu immigrated to the United States in the 1970s, where she studied at Boston University before moving to Los Angeles to further her education at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising. In 1996, she launched her eponymous line of jewelry and accessories, quickly gaining fame for her unique creations that blend natural materials and artisan techniques. Her signature wrap bracelets and handcrafted necklaces have become staples.
