Elie Saab is a luxury clothing brand founded in 1982 by Lebanese designer Elie Saab. Initially known for his bridal gown creations in Beirut, the brand quickly gained recognition thanks to Saab's expertise in working with rich fabrics and intricate embroideries. In 1997, Elie Saab became the first non-Italian to be admitted to the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture in Paris. His international breakthrough came in 2002 when Halle Berry wore one of his gowns to receive the Academy Award for Best Actress. Since then, Elie Saab has continued to dazzle red carpets and expand its offerings with ready-to-wear collections, perfumes, and accessories.
