EVERLAST, founded in 1910 by Jacob Golomb in the Bronx, New York, started out as a manufacturer of durable swimsuits. Passionate about boxing, Golomb began creating equipment for the sport. In 1917, he designed a boxing helmet that could last for more than 15 rounds, hence the name EVERLAST. The company then became a major supplier of boxing gear, in part thanks to Jack Dempsey, the heavyweight champion in 1919, who wore EVERLAST gloves. Over time, EVERLAST expanded its products to include fitness apparel and accessories, becoming synonymous with endurance and performance worldwide.
