Japan Rags was born in 2002 in Marseille from the bond between Gil and Lylian Richardière, a father and son united by a shared passion for denim. Conceived as the men’s line of Le Temps des Cerises, the brand offers a wardrobe inspired by vintage, workwear, and streetwear, featuring strong yet accessible pieces. Its raw jeans, oversized sweatshirts, and casual T-shirts quickly appealed to men seeking authenticity. After a pause in 2016, Japan Rags makes its comeback in 2024, reclaiming its independence and original identity — an honest, durable, and free style built on heritage, quality, and independence.
