Onitsuka Tiger, founded in 1949 by Kihachiro Onitsuka in Kobe, Japan, embodies craftsmanship and innovation in the footwear industry. Originally created to promote the health of Japanese youth through sports, the brand started by producing basketball shoes. Over the decades, Onitsuka Tiger has diversified its offerings, incorporating innovative technologies and iconic designs, such as the famous Tiger Stripe stripes. In 1977, Onitsuka Tiger merged with two other companies to form ASICS Corporation, but the brand was relaunched in 2002 as a retro line, successfully merging vintage style and modern comfort.
