Paraboot is a French shoe brand founded in 1908 by Rémy Richard-Ponvert. The company started as a small artisanal factory specializing in city shoes. In the 1920s, inspired by a trip to the United States, Richard-Ponvert adopted the Norwegian welt technique, allowing the creation of waterproof and sturdy shoes. The name "Paraboot" comes from the word "para", in reference to Amazonian rubber, and "boot", which means boots in English. Over the decades, Paraboot has become a reference for quality and artisanal know-how. The brand celebrates "Made in France", with production mostly located in its historic workshops in the Grenoble region. The manufacturing process is renowned for its meticulous attention to detail, integrating noble materials such as calf leather and respecting traditional methods. The iconic model, the Michael, as well as other classics like the Avoriaz and the Chambord, continue to charm with their timeless design and sturdiness.
