Paraboot is a French footwear house founded in 1908 by Rémy Richard-Ponvert. Based in the Grenoble region, the company began as an artisanal workshop before distinguishing itself in the 1920s with the adoption of Norwegian welt construction, a technique that ensures durability and waterproofing. The name “Paraboot” is derived from Amazonian rubber, known as “para,” combined with the English word “boot.” For over a century, the brand has upheld exceptional craftsmanship, favoring calf leather and traditional processes in its French workshops.
