The story of the Prada brand begins in 1913 in Milan, with the opening of a boutique by Mario Prada, a skilled craftsman known for his high-quality leather goods. Thanks to a wealthy clientele, the business thrives. Fifty years later, Mario's granddaughter Miuccia Prada transforms the family business into a reference in luxury leather goods and fashion. Under Miuccia's leadership, Prada experiences a creative revival. In 1985, she introduces nylon bags featuring the brand's logo, an innovation that becomes a true success. This revival extends beyond creativity, as Miuccia is supported by her husband Patrizio Bertelli, a savvy businessman who contributes to the company's expansion. Prada diversifies into women's ready-to-wear in 1988 and launches the Miu Miu line in 1993, originally targeted towards a younger audience with more affordable prices. In 1994, Prada introduces its men's line, followed by a sportswear collection in 1997. In 2000, the house further diversifies by releasing its first perfumes under the Prada Beauty label. Today, Prada is a global luxury icon, known for its distinctive style and continuous innovation in the fashion industry.
