PURAAI is a vegan sneaker brand born in 2018, founded by two young Italian designers after a trip to Japan. Its name combines the Japanese words “Pura” (plastic) and “Ai” (love), expressing the idea that recycled plastic can become a sustainable and aesthetic material. Production is carried out entirely in Italy, with PETA-certified models made from recycled or organic materials such as organic cotton, recycled nylon or recycled rubber soles. Inspired by vintage 1970s sneakers, the collections stand out for their retro shapes and either understated or vibrant colors. PURAAI embodies responsible fashion that combines style and commitment, promoting an ethical approach that respects both people and the environment.
